Rose City Golf Tournament
Hugh shared that he is looking for 2 people to join him for Friday, September 29th at Riverview.  Hugh sent out info and sponsorship opportunities.  Proceeds go to the purchase of Christmas baskets.

Guest Speaker – Frank Adamson “Is Your Membership a Revolving Door?”

Frank shared some presentations from the International conference in Atlanta.
Keynote addresses, such as Andrew Young’s, can be found on rotary.org and Frank recommends we view these.

Frank shared that since the 1990s membership numbers have levelled off while the number of clubs has grown.  North America, Australia and the Philippines have seen decrease in membership.  Europe has levelled while membership in South America, Africa, India and Russia are increasing.  We do have 1.2 million members worldwide.

Frank challenged us to consider how we can attract and keep members.  Suggestions included:
Having the induction be a special celebration, being a brand ambassador in the community, champion for rotary, inviting friends and colleagues to attend, sharing your passion for rotary, ensuring meetings are engaging and interesting, providing opportunity for fellowship.

Reminder that the next International Conference is in Toronto.

Happy Loonies:
