Skating Party Jan 2 from 2:30 to 3:30 at MCC. Bring your friends and family for free skate. If you need skates, contact Paul Snack and he will get them from Pen Financial’s stock pile. Food item donation for Pelham Cares would be appreciated.
Previous guest speaker, Beaver Harry raised $800 for Pelham Cares Christmas Baskets. Rotary Club is proud to have helped him with this selfless task.

Rotarian Peter Papp is transferring his membership from Welland to Fonthill Jan 1. Welcome Peter and happy to have him join our team of dedicated folks.
Welland Club has invited us to join them for lunch and blanket project on Tuesday, Jan 22. Cost for lunch and blanket kit will be$20 and a lot of fun.
Welland Club has also invited us to join them for an evening of curling on Jan 29. Doors open at 5 and curling starts at 5:30 with no experience required. Our Rotarian Bob Eamer is taking applications for a team from Fonthill. Cost is $35 for curling and pizza/wings or $15 for pizza/wings only.
Please take note that our guest speaker on Jan 30 will be Mayor Marvin Junkin. It would be great to show our support for our new mayor and hear what he has planned for Pelham in the next 4 years. Also keep in mind it would be an excellent opportunity to invite any potential new members you might have in mind.

Update on Guatemalan Child and Maternal Care Cluster Grant.....Lincoln Club, which is leading the grant process has passed first hurdle with approval from Canadian Rotary Foundation for Canadian shared portion. This will provide $22000 from Federal Government towards total project.
Goodbye and thank you to Chef Abbey for over 5 years of looking after our club with early breakfast every Wednesday. He is moving on to manage culinary team for Johnny Rocco’s restaurants.
