Cheque Presentation
Ken Janzen from PenFinancial Credit Union, a member of the Rotary Club of Welland, accompanied Kelly Sauriol for presentation of their Platinum Sponsorship of Family Funfest 2020. Ken noted that this contribution reaffirms their partnership with the Rotary Club of Fonthill and that it represents an investment that the Club will multiply in the community.

Mike informed members that the April 3 Purse Bingo at the MCC is SOLD OUT.
Family Fun Fest - June 20th
The two Pauls thanked PenFinancial for their sponsorship and support. Carolyn reported that the Eventbrite registration page will be live this coming weekend. We will be pushing the event out on social media once the registration component is live. The address for the site is:

New Club Brochure
Mike introduced a brochure that has been designed by Paul Snack. Paul noted that we will be printing 2,000 copies for distribution around the community.
March Break Meeting Canceled
Mike circulated an email survey this week asking members to vote on whether to cancel the March 18 meeting due to March Break. The consensus was YES.
February 12 Board Meeting
All members are welcome to attend. The meeting is held in the MCC cafeteria at 7:30. Bring your own coffee.

Youth Exchange Algonquin Retreat
Meaghan is going to Algonquin Park for the Youth Exchange event this week. Mike and Fanny will be joining them later in the week.

Kelly Sauriol introduced our Guest Speaker. Josie Faccini is Mentorship Manager at the Niagara Workforce Planning Board (NWPB). The NWPB website is located here:

Josie was born and raised in Welland, and is an active member of her local community, as well as throughout the Region.
Having also worked and lived abroad, the international flair she brings to her work with NWPB gives her a broad and empathetic perspective in her work with the Immigrant Mentorship Program.
Josie has a wealth of experience working in the non-profit sector, having worked for many years with newcomers and women. Recently, she developed a local chapter of the national organization Canada Learning Code (Ladies Learning Code) in Niagara, promoting women and girls in STEM. She has extensive experience in workshop facilitation on topics ranging from entrepreneurial, technology, career and cross cultural training.
Jody reported on the Mentorship Program for newcomers, and also on their annual online survey called Employer One.
