Jody Vizza, Corporate Member for PenFinancial – sponsored by Frank
Brianna Willard – Active Youth member – sponsored by Frank
Maria del Carmen Suecsun and Caesar Moldanado – Couple – sponsored by Annie

DG Reg`s presentation reminded all of us of the goals of Rotary.  He reviewed that the Rotary Citation Award goes to a club but we need to enter our club goals.  The Lighthouse Award rewards additional 4 goals to the Citation Award, and the Trophy goes to the top club in the district.
DG Reg reviewed the Rotary International Goals:
  1. Support and Strengthen Clubs
    • Gender parity, diversity, average age, young professionals, recent retirees, supporting retention and succession planning
  2. Focus and increase humanitarian service
    • Track and report hours and money spent on service and activity
  3. Enhance Public Image
    • Preserve and sustain planet Earth
    • Plant one tree for each club member – 1 breadfruit tree = 1,000 lbs of food
    • DG Reg indicated that the St. Catharines club is planting breadfruit tress in Pakistan and Jamaica
DG Reg reminded us of the District  Conference – Whiteoaks, NOTL, October 27-29th
  • There is a great line up of speakers including Bob Raylman, CEO Gift for Life who finds patients in third world countries with heart defects and ensures surgeons are there to support them
  • Rebecca Bender will speak to her experience of human trafficking in Ontario – her initiative is to end North American slavery
  • Great opportunity for fellowship and education
  • Please check the website http://www.districtconference7090.org/ for registration details.  There are lots of different registration options open to folks.
DG Reg reminded us that our district is co-hosting the International Conference in Toronto.  He challenged us to be present June 23-27th, 2018.
Finally DG Reg reminded us to “Let’s Get  M.A.D.”  Make a Difference and be the change you want to see in this world.
Happy Loonies
Happy birthday to Mike Taylor.
