Welcome and Introductions:
President Paul Snack welcomed Jody Vizza of PenFinancial, Kelly Surreal of PenFinancial, Brianna Willard, Caesar Maldonado and Maria del Carmen Suescun.
President Snack also welcoming Reg and Loretta Madison our Regional Governor and his wife.
President’s Updates:
Polio Eradication Day – October 24th
- Individuals are working to see if we can have a celebration on the evening of October 24th in Niagara Falls, with the Falls lit up in Rotary colours
- Rotarians from across our district will be invited to attend to celebrate
- Mayor Dave has agreed to light up the arches in Town
- Fort Erie will have the Peace Bridge lit up
Mudfest Meeting – Tuesday, October 10th
- All are welcome to mudfest planning meetings
Rotaract Niagara
- This group of young Niagara professionals will is community club supported by our club and Frank.
- They will meet regularly and some of their group will attend our meetings
- They currently have 10 members
Pelham Arena
- Hard hat tour on October 24th – talk to Paul S if you are interested in attending
TV Auction – Annie
- Fonthill’s finest are leading the “we are No. 1” pod
- All are reminded of the approaching deadline of October 20th
- Please fill in your donations on the wizard and bring all items in
Exchange Student Hosts – Mike Taylor reminded everyone that we are still seeking exchange hosts for Fede. Please check with your friends as we need two more families.

DG Reg began with a formal induction ceremony for:

DG Reg`s presentation reminded all of us of the goals of Rotary. He reviewed that the Rotary Citation Award goes to a club but we need to enter our club goals. The Lighthouse Award rewards additional 4 goals to the Citation Award, and the Trophy goes to the top club in the district.
DG Reg reviewed the Rotary International Goals:
- Support and Strengthen Clubs
- Gender parity, diversity, average age, young professionals, recent retirees, supporting retention and succession planning
- Focus and increase humanitarian service
- Track and report hours and money spent on service and activity
- Enhance Public Image
- Preserve and sustain planet Earth
- Plant one tree for each club member – 1 breadfruit tree = 1,000 lbs of food
- DG Reg indicated that the St. Catharines club is planting breadfruit tress in Pakistan and Jamaica
DG Reg reminded us of the District Conference – Whiteoaks, NOTL, October 27-29th
- There is a great line up of speakers including Bob Raylman, CEO Gift for Life who finds patients in third world countries with heart defects and ensures surgeons are there to support them
- Rebecca Bender will speak to her experience of human trafficking in Ontario – her initiative is to end North American slavery
- Great opportunity for fellowship and education

DG Reg reminded us that our district is co-hosting the International Conference in Toronto. He challenged us to be present June 23-27th, 2018.
Finally DG Reg reminded us to “Let’s Get M.A.D.” Make a Difference and be the change you want to see in this world.
