The Rotary Club of Fonthill Raises the Rotary Flag at the Town of Pelham's Meridian Community Centre
Joined by local dignitaries including Regional Councillor Wayne Olson, and Deputy Mayor Brian Eckhardt, Pelham Councillors Bob Hildebrandt, Shellee Niznik and John Wink.
Deputy Mayor Brian Ekhart addressed participants by saying "For over three decades, the Rotary Club of Fonthill has been putting “service above self” right here Pelham. Members have been a part of many community projects, from raising funds for the Meridian Community Centre to giving their time to help make Pelham Summerfest a success. The club also gives significant time to youth in Pelham, sponsoring scholarships, hosting exchange students, and supporting the E.L. Crossley Interact club. Their volunteer work goes beyond Pelham’s borders, with donations and events supporting the much larger Rotary mission to end polio in our lifetime. When you look at all the club does, it is truly impressive.
We are very fortunate in the Town to have organizations like the Rotary Club of Fonthill. Thank you for all that your club and members have done for our community over the last 35 years."
Greetings were also presented by Regional Councillor Wayne Olson and by the Club's President Frank Adamson. Frank was joined by incoming President Angela Carter who assumes her year of service as President on July 1.
