With Thanks for a Fantastic Funfest!
A huge thank you goes to all of our Rotary Club of Fonthill and E.L. Crossley members, volunteers, friends and sponsors for a simply fantastic Family Funfest.
The weather while brisk first thing and windy, was great and the crowds at Bissell's Hideaway had a great time participating in a wide variety of activities. From Unicorns, to music to Tech skills - mad science, drones, and inflatables and so much more - there was truly something for everyone. And EVERYONE showed up. What a great turnout we had from places near and far.
The day simply could not have happened without the incredible amount of time put in by Janet Cripps and Paul Snack. There are simply not enough words to express the gratitude we owe to these two power houses.
Yet I know that they would also say - "We had a great team".
Janet and Paul worked with Emily Bosilac and her Crossley Business students to create this incredible day. Other Crossley and DSBN staff were on site yesterday to help with the events and activities. The students were there to see how their semester long project fell into place.
We also need to acknowledge that the event could not have succeeded without all of the local organizations, businesses and individuals who provided sponsorship.
Thanks to the Shriners, the exhibitors and the musicians who came to feed and entertain us.
And thanks of course to our Rotary members, our Friends of Rotary and all of their friends and families who volunteered their time in helping to plan, set up, run and take down the event.
While we are still tallying results and checking spreadsheets to finalize numbers you will likely all be utterly amazed at how successful this event was for our community financially.
But I think more importantly we provided an opportunity for our community to come together in person to have a wonderful day. Seeing everyone's smiling faces was such a lovely sight.
With appreciation for your time and effort in making this event so successful.
Again - thanks to Janet and Paul - this simply could not have happened without your leadership.
