The Rotary Club of Fonthill is rolling out the New Year with a celebration of a record setting year for new members!  The Rotary year runs from July 1 through June 30.  During the year currently drawing to a close the Rotary Club of Fonthill welcomed seven new members: Brianna Willard, Keith McConkey, Andrew Glavac, Kevin Vallier, Jason Thompson, Kristopher McEvoy, and Michael Jacques.

The year also saw corporate member PenFinancial Credit Union continue its membership with three new representatives: Mike Bertrand, Christian Baranowski, and Kerry Ould.

The Club celebrated with their new members at a virtual ‘Fireside Chat’ on June 23, 2021.  Fireside Chats are an annual event to introduce new members to all things Rotary. YouTube Video Here!

During the year the club participated in 22 Service Projects, all in spite of the significant challenges presented by the pandemic.
    Leadership Changes

Rotary Club Presidents serve one-year terms, with one year prior as President-Elect and one year following as Immediate Past-President.
The Rotary International Theme for 2020-2021 was “Rotary Opens Opportunities” and new page was turned in Rotary District 7090 with a husband and wife ‘team’ of Hugh and Sandy Graham, each serving as President in their respective Clubs: Hugh for the second time in the Rotary Club of Fonthill and Sandy in the Rotary Club of Welland.
The Rotary International Theme for the year commencing July 1, 2021 is “Serve to Change Lives”.  Incoming President Ann Harrison will be tasked with implementing that vision in Fonthill.
The club had planned to meet in person to celebrate this transition but given limitations on numbers allowed to meet in public the celebration will be virtual, on Wednesday June 30, 2021.
