Rotary Club of Fonthill Contributes $3,500 of Proceeds from Niagara Family Funfest 2022 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara Falls and South Niagara
The Rotary Club of Fonthill was pleased to present a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) at the Club’s meeting this morning. The funds are being provided to assist with the ongoing operations of BBBS in the Niagara community. The funds come from the proceeds of the hugely successful Niagara Family Funfest 2022.
BBBS provides a number of programs providing both one-to-one mentoring and group mentoring to children and youth across Niagara Falls and South Niagara. Programs include Big Brother/Big Sister, In-School Mentoring, Go Girls!, Game On!, After School Program.
In 2021, BBBS of Niagara Falls/South Niagara was supported by 214 volunteers and provided 399 mentoring opportunities! Programs were delivered serving the communities of Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, Pelham, Port Colborne, Welland, and Wainfleet.
At our July 27, 2022 meeting Sarah Ludberg and Melissa Lodba from BBBS shared a compelling presentation with Fonthill Rotarians describing the spectrum of services provided, including measured outcomes provided by the work that they do.
