The Niagara Rotaract Club (which Fonthill Rotary is a co-sponsoring Club) and the Brock Rotaract Club are joining forces to establish three Great Lake's Watershed Clean-up activities

In light of the pandemic, social distancing and limits to outdoor gatherings, they are looking to establish four teams of people (no more than five per team) to spend two hours of time collecting refuse.

They have selected the Locks 1,2 and 3 along the Welland Canal trail and Sunset Beach as their target sites, and the times are as follows;

Saturday June 5th from 10 AM - Noon
Saturday June 19th from 10 AM - Noon
Saturday June 26th from 6 PM to 8 PM

If you are interested in participating in any of these time slots, please send Mike Tayler an email so that he can coordinate with the Rotaract team.

Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup

June 5th is Environment Day

Mobilizing Rotarians

The Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup initiative is an effort to focus attention to the Great Lakes and to all the great work that is being done to cleanup our lakes, streams, and waterways. Through the coordination of many associated clean up events, to be held around the week of Earth Day, our goal is to make this the single largest series of linked clean up events ever planned and held during this one period of time on the Great Lakes.

The Rotary Club of Fonthill is working with the Rotary Club of Welland to organize cleanup events in Welland and Port Colborne.
